The Verona show on the March Edition of First Thursdays has come and gone, and I’m real psyched that my biggest painting got sold (Over the Sea Were a Thousand Emerald Cities).
I’ve been working on a couple of commissions too, which I’m pretty pumped about. One is a mural for a community centre out in West Auckland, and two limited edition skatedecks, One for Blitz Gallery in Henderson, and another for Learning Curve Skate Shop on Kroad.
I’ve also been one of the speakers at an Emerging Artist Mini-Forum, a side event of The Edge event Funky Oriental Beats.

We decided to have a First Thursdays Poetry Evening last April 29. We organised 10 of the more vibrant poets around Auckland for a night of wine, food, and lyrical spoken word. It was a full house at Verona, and all the poets blew everyone’s socks off, including rapper Jai MacDonald, and writer Christian Jensen. Here’s a link to all the photos of the night:
