Beauty Meets the Bizarre Exhibit

Second time around organising a group exhibition, first time curating, and I’m truly looking forward to seeing what’ll come out of this.

Beauty Meets the Bizarre is an exhibit showcasing some of the more exciting emerging artists to watch out for coming from Auckland down to Wellington. 15 artists explore contrasting themes, from light and dark, to the ethereal and the macabre, to the delicate and disgusting. The diverse range of styles featured on this show are united by a single aesthetic: wood. Beautiful wooden panels will dot the Depot’s main gallery, created by artists who are now making a significant mark in their local scene. Come with and check the view, but beware of something sinister just lurking around the corner.
